It was a warm atmosphere that characterized the first tournament of the year for Balders HSK.
Vaxholm offered a "sprint" tournament at the pub 10an with the arrangement qualifying, quarter, semi and final. Balders HSK lined up with their best team, the three wise men, Pascal, Martin and Fredrik and the founders of their new club.
“The final was dominated by Vaxholm and won by favorite Björn Landberg, but it was nervous and even. Björn landed the win on the last throw where he passed Gunde with two points.”
With very few training hours, and for the evening Fredrik's first real pitching ever (Martin's second), Pascal managed to defend Balder's colors up to the finals where he unfortunately did not account for the pressure and finished fifth. The final was dominated by Vaxholm and won by favorite Björn Landberg, but it was nervous and even. Björn landed the win on the last throw where he passed Gunde with two points . On third came Kristian Jältsäter.
A future with hope
Very interesting, however, was to follow Balder's new players, see their courage and focus, and from time to time very beautiful throws. The pressure on their shoulders may not have been easy, they showed that there is much to hope for Balders in the future.
We thank Kristian Jältsäter and the other Vaxholm players for a very successful event and a nice feature in Roslagen.
